A few years ago, Mountaineers Books approached me to shoot a book using the wire toy figures called Benders. The result, The Little Book of Bender's Big Adventures, was published in 2008.
From 1997, I have been shooting miniature figurines which caught the eye of the Mountaineers for this project. A few months of twisting wires and creating miniature background scenes resulted in images such as this one.
